Welcome to Great Cornard Cricket club.......Cornard is a friendly and welcoming club playing at Blackhouse lane on the outskirts of the village.We currently play in the
Club HistorySome evidence exists of a cricket team in the village before the second world war, but unfortunately no playing records and the team was officially re formed in 1955, and has recently celebrated it's 50th year.The club used to play it's home matches at the Oliver sports ground better known as the recreation ground in Broom street, but moved to it's current ground in the 70's.We have played in various different leagues since the 80's including the Suffolk cricket league, North Essex cricket leagues, the highlight of the clubs honours was winning the West suffolk newspapers Jubilee cup in 1982 with a last ball victory against Stambourne.
